It's time to make my collages more diverse, black paper,
some pieces of random texts...
Oh, and collage in the form of comic with not necessary rational stories inside.

Cut, stick and draw
Last few days I've been experimenting with different backgrounds, bases for my collages. I found out that black color gives better contrast for the other elements, colors look brighter. So, now I use a black paper as an background for my bizarre scenes.
At the same time I'm trying to experiment by drawing, using different pens, paints to intersperse my works.

After all, I chose collage as a main path to follow in the going project. I realised that there is so many techniques of creating collages and started with simple merging different photos and drawings.

"Do whatever you like" project II
Reshaping, extending, cutting things and reconnecting them in different and new ways became my obsession. I decided to use few different techniques to express myself. I've started with painting. By using acrylic paint on a canvas I was trying to merge random situations and objects together.I've made two canvases already and some extra sketches, drawings, but decided to leave this technique and to try explore something else...

"Do whatever you like" project...
...First, I thought there is not better thing to do such as our current project, we have six weeks to do, to be honest, whatever we like, of course we had given two suggestions to chose but I didnt find any of them interesting enough. That's why I've started planning to make something compeletely different. Unfortunely, after few long days of "planning" I realised it's no that easy to create something without any suggestion or even advice.
Then, I've started few different "projects", all of them are based on similar ideas. On one of the first Hazel's "Your Amazing Brain" lectures, we were trying to define a creativity, as the most true I recognised deffinition which says, that creativity is about connecting the unconnected and this sentence became the main base for my forthcoming project. After an intensive brainstorming I had few good themes to follow.

LIVER-POOL BENNIAL
Wednesday, day of uni trip to Liverpool for Liverpool Biennial - International Festival of Contemporary Art.
We've been asked to choose one piece of art we seen on that day and do short review about it.
I never seen so many good art works in one day. I've been in at least 5 or 6 galleries or rather exhibition places, some of works were exhibited on a street, big screen, garage or an old warehouse.
For me, the most interesting, exciting and inspiring thing I've seen was series of three, about an hour lenght videos made by USA artist Ryan Trecartin called "Trill-ogy Comp" from 2009. An hour long set of huge amount of absurdal short situations, nonsensical conversations of random teenagers wearing careless made make-up and making weird movements. Everything full of extreme video editing mixed with computer-made sounds and compeletely random simple animations. Whole videos looked very psychedelic and kitschy at the same time.
The most interesting in "Trill-ogy Comp" is that when you start watching you know you don't like it, it can make you sick easily, but at the same time you can't stop looking at this, only because you know it's something you never seen in your whole life before.
Here is a link to one of the most extreme experiences in your life ;-D, enjoy!:

Another absurd
One day Library Project (another group work), seemingly rather few boring hours of doing research in a library has turned into exciting, absurd searching of nobody really know what. So, we've been trying to find out who is an autor of photography which we were working with. After hours of "google images" research and later, an hour break, in one of art magazines, Amy accidentally found full article about an artist we've been looking for and his work.
